Anne Pecaro is a poet & playwright living in South Carolina. She's been the Senior Editor of a children's illustration, animation, and publishing studio, as well as a fiction editor of a local arts Zine. She is currently enrolled in Spalding University's MFA in playwriting and is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. Her play The Mother of God Has a BIC Pen Tattoo is in rehearsals at The Bird and Baby Theatre.

The Bird and Baby Theatre is partnering with Safe Harbor women's shelter and local playwright Anne Pecaro to produce an evening of theatre that explores violence towards women and the devestation left in its wake. Auditioners will be required to perform (from memory) a 90- second contemporary monologue.
